Memories of Richmond Ice Rink

To celebrate the arrival of the new ice rink at York House in Twickenham, Stone Rowe Brewer LLP are delighted to have sponsored a special booklet that celebrates the history of skating in our Borough.

Copies of the ‘Memories of Richmond Ice Rink’ are freely available from our reception area as well as from the ice rink.

The pdf contains photographs and illustrations to commemorate the history of skating in our own borough.

In particular, you can find some rather touching stories about the deep history of the Richmond ice rink. Once considered the premier ice rink when it opened in 1928 and it led to a vast array of stories to tell until it was demolished in 1998.

Our memories of Richmond ice rink booklet looks to remember these stories and bring them back to life so the ice rink can live on. So through these stories, pictures and illustrations, the rink can be remembered.

Hopefully, it can ignite some more excitement for the ice rink at York House when it eventually arrives.
