Changes to a No Fault Divorce

In the Times on 8 February 2019 they announced that the Times and the Marriage Foundation Campaign to introduce a no fault divorce, supported by the Family Team at Stone Rowe Brewer LLP is progressing.

David Gauke, the justice secretary, is preparing to introduce a bill that will end thefault-based divorce system of proving adultery, unreasonable behaviour or desertion or waiting for two years separation and consent or five years separation.  The new bill will enable couples to divorce without fault by giving notice that a marriage has irretrievably broken down.
