Twickenham Alive has Planning Permission to install a temporary ice rink in the grounds of historic York House, the municipal headquarters of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The rink will be sited on two tennis courts facing the main road and will operate from Saturday 30th November 2013 – Saturday 11th January 2014 from 10.00 am until 8.00 pm every day except Christmas Day.
The rink will reintroduce skating to Twickenham and Richmond, which has been sorely missed since Richmond Ice Rink closed in 1992. The participation of many of those who skated at the rink in East Twickenham, as staff and volunteer marshals, will bring a vibrant sporting event to the area during the Christmas and New Year period. There are various advertising opportunities on the ice rink website, in the Programme, on the boards surrounding the ice rink, ‘in kind’ services and in other publicity material including a book about the old Richmond Ice Rink.
We would like to meet those interested in advertising at the rink on 4th September at Twickenham Rowing Club from 5.30 until 7.30. The Club bar will be open.
