Jamie Jones

Solicitor

I began my career working for a firm of specialist lawyers in the city and after a few years, gained a training contract with a multi-office and multi-discipline, high-street firm. There, I completed my training in civil litigation and private client whilst maintaining a busy costs practice before being admitted to the roll in 2015.

I joined Stone Rowe Brewer in 2017, leading in costs management and recovery for the firm as well as representing clients in civil disputes. In recent years, I have joined the SRB’s commercial department, where I have been developing my litigation practice. I now specialise in civil and commercial disputes, which includes landlord/tenant issues and debt recovery. I also accept instructions to advise in respect of settlement agreements.

Hobbies/Interests

Outside of work, I am an avid theatre-goer; enjoy eating out with friends; reading; seeing my favourite musicians and travelling as often as I can.

Jamie Jones - Solicitor

I am also an accredited mediator (Civil and Commercial) and in that capacity, I am able accept instructions to attempt to settle disputes at a confidential meeting which has the benefit of saving time, emotional distress, reputations and often, significant costs. Mediation is an emerging and extremely important alternative dispute resolution method which should be considered at the earliest stage possible in any civil or commercial dispute. If you have a family dispute and require the help of a mediator, my colleague, Lisa Broddle, will be happy to assist you.

What is Mediation?

Mediation is a completely voluntary and confidential form of alternative dispute resolution. It involves an independent, impartial person helping two or more individuals or groups (separately or together) reach a solution that’s acceptable to everyone.

Mediators are not engaged to make judgments or decide on matters – they ask questions and assist parties in understanding issues. A good mediator will help a party clarify their objectives and identify the important issues in resolving a difference or dispute.
