The Department for Business Innovation & Skills has today announced the implementation dates for some of the changes introduced by the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013, which the Business Minister Jo Swinson believes “will support the UK’s enterprise culture and help make it one of the best places to do business”.
On the 25 June 2013 the following will come into force:-
- Changes to whistleblowing laws;
- Removing the 2-year qualifying period for unfair dismissal where the main reason for dismissal is the employee’s political opinions or affiliations.
Further implementation dates are to follow.
If any of the above concern you either as an employee or an employer, please contact Sarah Smith on either email@example.com or on 0208 891 6141.
